Silver & Gold Care
- Use a mild dishwashing detergent solution for gentle cleaning. Avoid prolonged soaking of silver, as it can affect finishes.
- Harsh liquid or dip cleaners can damage your jewelry's finish—avoid altogether. If ever unsure, please contact us before using any jewelry cleaner.
- For sterling silver tarnish, use a polishing cloth.
Gemstone Care
- Use a soft brush and mild soap solution to clean delicate gemstones like pearls, opals, malachite and turquoise. Pat dry with a soft cloth.
- Harsh liquid or dip cleaners can damage your gemstones—avoid altogether.
- Do not use polishing cloths directly gemstones.
- Avoid storing gemstones in direct sunlight or near heat sources. Store pearl jewelry separately to prevent scratching.
Leather Care
- Regular cleaning is essential for leather jewelry. For daily care, wipe leather jewelry with a soft, dry cloth. Should leather appear delicate or worn, contact us directly for personalized guidance in restoring to its original condition.
- For minor stains, use a damp cloth with a mild soap/leather cleaner (use gentle circles and minimal moisture). Pat then air dry completely before storing or wearing. To maintain suppleness, condition occasionally with a leather jewelry conditioner.
- Minimize water exposure. Avoid wearing leather jewelry during exercise, showering or swimming.
- Store leather jewelry in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Should your John Hardy jewelry ever need repair or refurbishment, our team of artisans offer a range of services.
How to Submit a Repair Request
Please email us and include all details provided in the below repair questionnaire form.

Upon receiving your request, we will email you a service order number for tracking and a packing slip to include with your jewelry.
Print the packing slip provided and include it in your repair shipment, along with a copy of your receipt if your item was purchased within the last 12 months, and your jewelry in need of servicing. Pack securely to prevent damage during transit. Please do not include any packaging that may be sentimental, we do not return your item(s) in their original packaging. We recommend insuring and tracking your package.

Repair Process
Expert Evaluation: Our artisans will thoroughly assess your jewelry to determine the best course of action. Before any work begins, we will email you with a detailed explanation of the repairs needed and any associated service fees. You can choose to proceed with the repair or have your jewelry returned to you for a $30 return shipping fee.
Cleaning & Polishing: All repairs include complimentary professional cleaning and polishing.
Timing & Tracking: Turnaround times typically range from 4–6 weeks upon receipt of your jewelry. Once repair is complete, your jewelry will be shipped back with a tracking number.

Return to your shopping experience.
Standard Return Policy
Return or exchange requests may be submitted within 30 days for eligible unworn merchandise. Made-to-order sizes, styles marked as final sale, complimentary gifts with purchase, gift cards, merchandise credits and shipping fees are not eligible. The return label provided is covered under our carrier policy. If you choose to use your own return label, John Hardy is not responsible for additional duties and taxes, orders lost in transit, or packages held by U.S. customs.
Biannual sale products are marked as final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange.

- Domestic orders can print a complimentary FedEx return label.
- Include your return packing slip along with your unworn merchandise and place it securely in the original packaging.
- Affix the pre-paid return label to the outside of the box and bring it to your local FedEx shipping center. We recommend obtaining a drop-off receipt.
International Return Instructions:
Please note, all duties and taxes paid are nonrefundable.

- Affix your return shipping label to the package and note the return tracking for your reference. DHL will electronically share the clearance documents with Customs.
- Please drop your package off at the nearest DHL shipping center.
Refunds: Allow up to 7-10 business days for your return to be received and processed—an email notification will be sent once complete. Allow an additional 1-3 business days depending on your bank for the refund to be reflected on your credit card statement. All returns will be refunded to the original method of payment on your order. For applicable returns a merchandise credit will be issued.
Exchanges: Allow up 7 business days for your return to be received and processed—an email notification will be sent once complete. Our team will process your exchange order and contact you with any questions. Orders outside the U.S will have to place a new order for exchange.
Gift Returns & Merchandise Credit: If the John Hardy gift you received isn't right for you, we'd be happy to offer you an exchange or non-refundable merchandise credit to be used on JohnHardy.com or at a John Hardy Boutique. A valid sales receipt is required. To request a merchandise credit please contact our Client Care team.

Yes, in your shopping bag you will be given the opportunity to add a gift note with a personalized message. If you are already in checkout, no problem! You may go back to your cart and add the gift note before completing your purchase.

Shipping Information
Orders received before 1:00 PM ET Monday through Friday are processed and shipped the same day. Orders placed after 1:00 PM ET Monday through Friday will be processed the following business day. John Hardy does not ship on the weekends or US holidays. John Hardy does not ship orders to P.O. Boxes and APO/FPO addresses.
U.S. Shipping
Ground delivery to Hawaii and parts of Alaska may take more than 7 business days. Shipping times are subject to item availability and credit card verification. We use both FedEx and UPS to ship within the United States.
Ground: Complimentary for all orders
Two-Day: Complimentary on orders over $3,000.
Next Day: Complimentary on orders over $10,000. All other orders shipped by Next-Day Air will be charged $30.
International Shipping
We ship to over 100 countries worldwide via Shopify Markets with Global-e as the merchant on record. You can select your country from the drop-down menu found on the top right-hand corner on our website. If you do not see your country listed, unfortunately, we cannot ship there at this time. All duties and taxes paid are nonrefundable.
DHL Express: Complimentary international shipping on all orders. Estimated delivery time is 1-5 business days depending on your ship to country.
